Vivi nennt sich die Verkehrsschlange, mit der Volksschulkinder, Eltern und Lehrer:innen
spielerisch motiviert werden, den Schulweg zu Fuß, mit dem Fahrrad, mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln
oder per Fahrgemeinschaft zurückzulegen.
Die 1- bis 2-wöchige Aktion soll zeigen, dass umweltfreundliche Mobilitätsarten gesund für Kinder und Eltern sind und außerdem auch Spaß machen. Hierbei wird besonderes Augenmerk auf das eigenständige sowie aktive Zurücklegen des Schulweges und Verkehrssicherheit gelegt.
Drei wesentliche Ziele werden verfolgt:
Das motivierende Transparent von Vivi visualisiert die Erfolge der Kinder und das neue Mobilitätsverhalten eindrucksvoll, vor allem, wenn sich die gesamte Schule an der Aktion beteiligt.
Seit Einführung des Verkehrsschlangenspiels im Jahre 2007 haben österreichweit mehr als 25.000 Volksschulkinder an der Aktion teilgenommen.
Es handelt sich dabei um eine Art Flashmob, mit dem Kinder auf ihr Bedürfnis nach aktiver Mobilität auf dem Schulweg aufmerksam machen können.
Der Flash-Tanz macht Spaß und bewirkt eine kurze, aber angenehme Störung des Alltags im öffentlichen Raum. Deshalb wird er von einer Klasse vor einem breiten Publikum (z.B. auf dem Hauptplatz, dem Karmeliterplatz oder in der Nähe der Schule) aufgeführt.
Der Flash-Tanz ist ein toller Moment für Teilnehmende genauso wie für unbeteiligte Zuschauer*innen. Indem Medien und Vertreter:innen aus Politik und Verwaltung eingeladen werden sowie die Aufführung gefilmt und ins Internet gestellt wird, wird die positive Message des Verkehrsschlangen-Tanzes noch nachhaltig verstärkt.
Die teilnehmenden Lehrer:innen bekommen vom IVP Hilfestellung und Tipps, was bezüglich des Ablaufs, Vorbereitung und Choreografie des Flash-Tanzes sowie der Bekanntmachung über Social Media zu beachten ist.
