The Krakadau Noise Monster visits Kindergartens and Schools!

In this project, a noise monster named Krakadau was created for kindergartens. Its three dimensional form playfully introduces children to concepts of "Noise," Environment," and "Mobility." The Krakadau visited 15 kindergartens, and the children could fill it up with all sorts of noisy equipment. School materials such as teaching materials for kindergarten teachers and sound memory games were developed.

There were also Listening Trips through the Old City of Graz to deal with these issues in appropriate age groups. The project included training health educators and implementing Noise, Health and Mobility Awareness days, with 500 participating pupils from 13 schools.
